We are a Cambridge, Wisconsin based non-profit organization offering affordable premium trees and shrubs for your home. All profits help landscape Cambridge and Rockdale schools, streets and parks. There are two ways to buy trees:
- A limited number of trees are available for immediate purchase in March, click here for more information.
- Our annual spring sale is held in May. Exact date will be announced in March 2010
123 trees have now been purchased which has enabled us to donate 98 trees and shrubs to our schools, streets and parks. Donated plantings can be seen at the elementary school, Westside Park, and various streets thoughout Cambridge.
Our first donation in 2008 was four Allegheny serviceberries to the school Environmental Club:
Tree Project Mission: Affordable premium trees and shrubs for your home. All profits helping landscape Cambridge and Rockdale schools, streets and parks.
Goals:
Plant 1,000 trees in Cambridge and Rockdale by 2020. Progress, as of October 12, 2009: 221 trees planted, 22% of goal.
Increase diversity of species in our community forest. Currently almost 60% of trees in the Village of Cambridge are of two species: ash and maple. While time-honored favorites, such as birch, maple and oak are available through our program, we are proud to offer numerous unique hardy species which will increase much-needed species diversity.
History: Founded 2007 in Cambridge
Who can buy trees? Anyone - regardless of where one lives. Those living outside the villages of Cambridge and Rockdale will need to pick their trees up in Cambridge.
When are the trees available? Trees from our inventory are available for purchase, in limited quantities, now. Additionally, a broad range of trees and shrubs can be ordered any time and are delivered to your door twice annually: in spring and again in late summer. These times correspond with the best times to plant trees in our climate. Our upcoming spring drive ends in late April, 2010 though a limited number of trees are available at virtually any time.

Miscellaneous $38 Trees: - Left to right: chinkapin oak, river birch and red oak.
$38 American Hornbeam (Musclewood) Fall Color: Grows in sun or shade to about 15 feet. Smooth gray bark and fast growth when young, well over two feet annually with a good mulch ring and supplemental waterings.
