Gallery of $38 Trees:

Hornbeam (Musclewood): Pictured when planted in June. It grew over three feet the following summer. It's tolerant of full sun or deep shade, has terrific wine-red fall color and smooth silver bark when mature.

Red Buckeye - This tree was only three years old when pictured but was already producing red flowers. It's one of the few trees that consistently flowers in deep shade. Growth is on the slow side and it reaches only 20 feet tall making it an ideal tree for small spaces or patios. Fall color is not impressive but during the summer the leaves look quite nice.

Miscellaneous $38 Trees: - Left to right: chinkapin oak, river birch and red oak.

Hornbeam (Musclewood) Fall Color: Grows in sun or shade to about 15 feet. Smooth gray bark and fast growth when young, well over two feet annually with a good mulch ring and supplemental waterings.
